5   And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,     6   And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. ~ REVELATION 1:5-6

    ***

The interesting thing about this scripture is verse 6 and the declaration that He “hath made us Kings and Priests”. This appears to be before Revelation 5, but the reality is Revelation 5 and the taking of the Book is what results in this condition of being in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day. Christ being after the order of Melchisedec is a condition that is the discernment between the Spirit of God and the spirit of man. He is both King and Priest, not as a Child in the manger, but as the Conqueror Who ripped the veil in two and rose from the dead, proving Himself the victor over the curse of sin.

We see the newspapers and the oncoming storm. When you go home tonight, do me one favor, don't go to bed till you read Revelations the 8th chapter. You see the oncoming plagues and storms, that shall hit the earth, and thunders and lightnings are going to shake the heavens. Woes are going to pass over the nation. Men will rot in their flesh. Diseases will strike them the doctors knows nothing about. ~ 60-0229  THE ONCOMING STORM

    ***

When you read Revelation 8 you find two things. First, the opening of the Seventh Seal, which must happen before the next thing. Next, incense (prayers of the Saints) from the Altar is mixed with coal and fire and cast into the earth in the form of Trumpets to call Israel. Storms, the Day of the Lord, were sent to bring Israel to her position, just as storms were sent to place a Bride and produce the taking of the Book of Redemption, which causes her to cry out, “We are Kings and Priests, and we shall reign on the earth!”

13   The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies.   16   And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them. ~ ISAIAH 42:13, 16

    ***

While the whole chapter is beautiful, these two verses show the two-fold nature of the Day of the Lord. He comes against His enemies, yet He leads the blind from darkness into light. He is restoring His Kingdom! The crooked things are made straight. In the words of the prophet, that which is deformed will be transformed. This wonderful change has begun in the heart of the Bride, turning us back, revealing God’s hidden plan from down in your own soul.

11    Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.   12   For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.    13   Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. ~ HEBREWS 4:11-13

    ***

If there is a placing of a Bride, an eternity breaking in Her, there will have to be a discernment between the permanent eternal portion and that which must perish. God’s rest requires it. He cannot use a half-hearted Bride to manifest leaves and fruit. John 15 says that He will purge His branches to make them bring forth more fruit. There is a lot to consider in these verses. There is God’s rest, the Day of the Lord individually and manifestation of His perfect sight.

Decisions are made in the mind, the head. There is where Satan meets you, and the decisions are, because that God made a man that way. ~ 62-0311  THE GREATEST BATTLE EVER FOUGHT

    ***

The location of this greatest battle ever fought (think about that title) is in the mind. Your soul is an attribute of God and will ONLY believe God’s Word. Your mind is the place where decisions are made, so you can choose to accept what God says, or accept what the outside influences say. The more we cut off that influence, the more God’s Word can sweep over us and free the soul to fulfill the desires of God. True Headship is the preeminence of Christ in you, where there is no more influence of the world at all. This is the Day of the Lord revealed in you. Your kingdom, your life, which was formerly ruled by man, has become the Kingdom of our God. Luke 17:21 says, “…for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you”.

“I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day,...” Now, you can't do any good until first you get in the Spirit; God can't use you. You're. All your efforts are--are in vain until first you do it in the Spirit. "If I will sing, I will sing in the Spirit. If I'll pray," said Paul, "I'll pray in the Spirit." And then if there is anything that comes to me that's any good, it has to be revealed to me by the Spirit and confirmed by the Word (made manifest by the results it bears). ~ 60-1204E  THE PATMOS VISION

What does it mean to be “in the Spirit”? You can be “in the spirit” at a ballgame, meaning you are involved. You can be “in the spirit” at work, meaning you are engaged in whatever project you might be assigned to do. But being “in the Spirit” of the Lord doesn’t mean you have an anointing, or are emotional, or you are really interested, but it means you HAVE the Spirit. Christ IS our life. Whatever He has or is doing, that same Spirit in you has done it. To be “in the Spirit” is not to just be an observer, but to be a participant.

You know, India is a poor country and they pick up the rocks on the field, and make their fences. And the little birds build their nests in these rocks, the crevices, and in the holes. They go into there and make their nests to get out of the rain. And then the cattle, all of an afternoon, when the sun goes across towards the west, why, the cattle stands in the shade of these-- these certain fences and big towers to get in the shade. But for about two days the strangest thing happened. All the little birds got their babies, their little baby birds all together, and flew away from the walls and didn’t even return back at night. They went out in the middle of the field and set down. The cattle would not come up in the afternoon. They stayed away from the walls, and got together, and stood so close together that they made shade one for another. ~ 60-0229  THE ONCOMING STORM

This quote really struck me. The cattle, that normally got shade from the walls, moved away to the middle of the field and got shade from each other. The walls were coming down. Think of shade being cooling. The prophet spoke of the sitting under the leaves, which are fellowship, of the tree and getting cool. Think that once we fellowshipped with the world and the things of the world, but now we get that satisfying cooling from each other.

29   And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.   30   For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.     31   But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.    32   Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. ~ LUKE 12:29-32

    ***

“For it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” This Kingdom Jesus speaks of is a condition that was never touched by the curse of sin. It is a place where the kingdoms of this world are controlled by the God Who created them. All things are in harmony with His great purpose. It is our home. It is the fulfillment of all our desires down inside, our election. It is not far off in a dark place in the universe. It is all around us. It is the light we walk in. Why would we worry about our earthly needs when it is His good pleasure to give us this beautiful kingdom? Nothing is greater.

3   Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,    4   Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:    5  To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. ~ GALATIANS 1:3-5

    ***

In the beginning there was the perfect creation of God, that when it was finished, He looked at it and said, “It is VERY good”. Man was placed in the garden, a place where God could walk with him and fellowship, and that was to be the condition he lived in forever. Then, sin came, deforming God’s creation into this “present evil world”. Man could not return to this original condition because of sin. What would happen if sin’s requirement was paid? Wouldn’t we have access back to our original position that we held before sin? What would happen if, at the end time when all the Bride is called, He confirmed the effect of the removal of sin by showing us what a placed Son is like? Shouldn’t it give us the faith to step into our position? I say “YES, IT SHOULD!”

17   So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.   18   But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world. ~ ROMANS 10:17-18

    ***

The context of this scripture is Israel’s rejection of the Word (read the whole chapter). The proof is verse 18, which Paul quotes from Psalm 19:4, where David speaks of the creation of the heavens and the sun in its course being a voice that went into all the earth. The sun is often used to illustrate the light of the gospel. He (David) then immediately begins speaking of the Law of the Lord in verse 7. The assumption is that the Law, the Word in that day, had “went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world”, and was a sound that every language had heard (verse 3). It is an interesting thought given the age we live in and that after two thousand years the assumption is that all the world has not heard. In Matt 13:43, in the parable of the wheat and tares, after the separation the wheat is said to, “shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father”. In other words, a placed Bride is known throughout the whole world. Things are not as they always seem to be because what God sees and what man sees are often disconnected.
