"Now, separate yourself from all the unbelief, and I will bring it to pass." And if you notice, He never brought it to pass till Abraham completely did what God bid him to do. Abraham wandered, and done everything else, but God never did bless him till he absolutely separated himself from all that He told him to do. God will never bless you until you totally separate yourself from sin. Abraham had to separate himself from the family God told him to leave, before God could take him on the mountain and show him his inheritance (Gen 13:14-17). It is not just an act of obedience but it is a change of perspective. The separation from our fleshly life comes when we recognize that our origin is the Life of God Himself.
