Notice, He is not an animal. He took the Book out of the right hand of Him that set upon the throne. Who was it? The--the Owner, the original Owner that had the Book of Redemption in His right hand, and no Angel, no angelic being, nothing else could take the place. And this bloody Lamb walked out and took the Book out of His hand. What was it? Brother, this is the most sublime thing in the Scripture, a act, that not an Angel, not nothing could do it, and the Lamb come and took it from the right hand of Him that set upon the throne. “This is the most sublime thing in the Scripture.” The word “sublime” has the meaning of “exalted” or “something of beauty to inspire admiration”. This is an amazing statement given that redemption happened on the Cross, but without this taking of the Book, all creation was lost. Jesus paid the price of sin by the most cruel death that can be imagined, yet He considered the ability to claim YOU worthy of every stripe, every agony He suffered. This event, the claiming of the Book of Redemption, was what motivated Christ to die. It was a Husband coming after His Wife, restoring Her back to Her original position.
